New Releases for November

First of all I just want to say that I’m over here doing a happy dance in my chair because the last week or so has been hell and it’s all over now. Yippee! Sometimes I think the publishing part is harder than the writing.

I have two books coming out this month and both of them are for kids (don’t worry, I’m working on the second Rose Garden book, should be ready for spring). The first is a picture book, the second is for grades 4 and up.

The children’s picture book is called Nelly-Bean and the Adventures of Nibbles. Fully-illustrated, professionally printed and bound, and very good quality. If you’re wondering how this will hold up to daily reading by small children, fear not. My copy of Nelly-Bean and the Kid Eating Garbage Can Monster is a little wrinkling (my kids aren’t the gentlest with books) but the binding is intact. This book is available for Kindle and in print. If you’re in southern Manitoba you can always contact me in to get a copy author direct.

The second project is a new science fiction adventure series for grades 4 and up. It’s just over 90 pages, about the same length as the later Magic Tree House books. It has no illustrations. It’s a good transition book for young readers who are out growing books like The Magic Tree House and other early reader chapter books. There will be no swears or sexual content or graphic violence in this series so parents don’t have to worry about what their kids are ready. This book is available for Kindle and in print from Amazon and on Kobo Books. You can also download it from Smashwords.

Both covers, as well as all the illustrations for Nelly-Bean’s latest adventure, were done by Andreas Ganz.

It is 9:30 am on November 17 as I am typing this. Currently the Amazon links lead to sales pages with no purchase information as the files are still working their way through the system but they should be fully live by the end of the day (for e-books) and the end of the week (for paperbacks).

I am putting in my stock order today so if you’re in southern Manitoba let me know if you want one and I’ll reserve you a copy when they arrive (before the end of November). Buying author direct saves you on the shipping, and you get it signed!
